Hi Brad!
Although I have never been on the
Epcot Seas Adventures - Aqua Tour, it is definitely on my list of adventures at the
Walt Disney World Resort that I want to experience! Unfortunately, guests must be eight years of age or older, so your youngest would not be able to participate just yet. Also, a paying adult must accompany guests under the age of 12.
Luckily, they provide all of the equipment that you will need--just bring a bathing suit! You will be using a scuba-assisted snorkel device, which allows you to breathe air from a tank instead of using a classic stick snorkel. Although you will not have a traditional life jacket, you will have your own oxygen tank and a buoyancy compensator, which will keep you afloat. The water is about 25 feet deep, but you will not be permitted to dive. The buoyancy compensator will keep you at the surface.
I think that this adventure is an amazing learning opportunity and a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but breathing underwater can be a bit scary, even for experienced swimmers. If you think that everyone in your party will be able to use the scuba-assisted snorkel, then I think it would be so much fun! That being said, if swimming and breathing underwater are a concern, I would probably suggest waiting. Don't forget to check out the other amazing
Nature Experiences in the Enchanting Extras Collection!
Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
