Can anyone give me an estimate of what it costs for 2 adults for food, souvenirs, etc., for a week long vacation at Disney World. I am using a DVC membership for lodging so I'm trying to figure out an estimate of all the other costs.

    Hi Brooke,

Thanks for stoppin' by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

That is such a tough question because there are just so many ways to customize your Pixie Dusted Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I am going to give it my best!

One of the ways that our family stretches our vacation dollars, manage our spending, is the Disney Dining Plan! Since we handle our dining budget well before we begin our travel, I feel much more comfortable when it comes time for a fun, spur-of-the-moment, souvenir purchase. At the February 2016, Disney Vacation Club Member pricing, the Disney Dining Plan for 2- adults for 7- night would cost just under $875.  Of course, pricing and Member Benefits change often. For the latest pricing information, visit the Disney Vacation Club Member Website or Call Member Services at 1-800-800-9800.  Also, please keep in mind that you must add Disney Dining Plan at least 72- hours before your check-in date.

I would also budget between $200 - $300 for gratuities for the incredible Cast Members who work so hard to make your vacation unforgettable. I believe this amount would cover the gratuity at your Table Service meals, as well as Bell Services, and Mouse-keeping.

The discretionary spending piece is really where budgets could spread dramatically. I am confident that $300 - $400 would cover all of your snacks and beverages that might not be included in your Disney Dining Plan, a new set of mouse ears, and the latest Walt Disney World Resort trinkets that you absolutely cannot leave without! Of course, if you plan to customize your vacation with additional experiences such as a romantic Magic Kingdom Fireworks Cruise, then this would change quite a bit.

There are also a wide range of Theme Park Ticket options to fit any budget, including a special ticket offer for DVC Members!

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
