    Does anyone have experience with getting (either through Disney or 3rd party) an adjustable bed or recliner for your room at Port Orleans? Traveling with a family member who recently underwent a major surgery who can not sleep laying flat. TIA!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.   I am glad you have stopped by with a great inquiry today.   Traveling for Guests who have recently had surgery can be difficult.   Sleep is definitely something you will want to make sure you get a good night of while on a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, so I can understand your concern.  

    The Guest rooms at both Disney's Port Orleans Resort -Riverside and Disney's Port Orleans Resort -French Quarter do not have recliners in them.   My suggestion is that you find an outside company that would  rent them such as Orlando Medical Rentals.   You can google 'recliner rentals for Walt Disney World' and you should see different options.  This company would have to deliver the equipment and you certainly will need to contact the Resort prior to arrival to let them know of your need and the delivery you have coming.    Housekeeping will be able to provide you with extra pillows or blankets to make your family member the most comfortable he or she can be.
