Ahoy, Nancy!
One of my favorite Disney Cruise Line tips is to book your next cruise while aboard! It makes disembarkation just a little bit easier knowing you have another magical voyage to look forward to in the near future. And the good news I have for you is that you can take advantage of the onboard discount and still use your travel agent. When you visit the Disney Vacation Planning Center onboard to book your future cruise (be sure to stop by early on in your cruise because it gets busy), your agent's information should come up if you booked the current cruise with them. If you want to use the same agent, just let the vacation planner know, and your agent will be assigned the reservation and will get a copy emailed once it is finalized. If you do not have a travel agent and want to use one, you have 30 days from the day the reservation is made to transfer the reservation. A travel agent may offer a shipboard discount or another type of perk for booking, but their rates will be exactly the same as booking on the
Disney Cruise Line website or by calling (800) 951-3532.
Onboard discounts are always subject to change, but in the past, it has included 10 percent off a future cruise, a reduced deposit and a shipboard credit for the newly booked sailing. If you do not have a specific date selected, Disney Cruise Line offers a placeholder option that is good for two years from the time of booking. You will be charged $250 (always subject to change) for a placeholder, and this amount will be used towards the deposit or payment of the cruise once a date is selected. There are blackouts dates where the discount does not apply and those are typically around holidays and spring break. The vacation planner will have all that information for you when you sit down to make your plans.
Have a magical time on your cruise, Nancy!
