Hi, Phoebe! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about Signature Dining and young children! I personally love dining at
Artist Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and have already made a dinner reservation for our October/November visit. Really the vast majority of restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort, including the Signature Dining locations, are kid-friendly and are used to accommodating families who dine with young children. After all, this is Walt Disney World!
Artist Point features beautiful Pacific Northwest decor in keeping with the inspiration for the Wilderness Lodge's architecture and theming, but the overall ambiance is more laid back and not as "fancy" or formal as Signature Dining locations at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.Your host/hostess at Artist Point will give your little ones crayons and a 4-sided paper
kids menu that doubles as a coloring and activity booklet. The menu/booklet usually helps to keep our young daughter entertained long enough for the main course to be served. We also request that her meal be brought out as soon as it's ready rather than waiting for the adults to finish their appetizers.
To help ensure a magical dining experience for the entire family, I recommend making a reservation for the earliest dinner time available. Always a good idea to avoid potential meltdowns! Artist Point typically opens for dinner at 5:30 PM. Be sure to make your advanced dining reservation as soon as possible as your trip is just around the corner. Visit the
online Disney Dining Reservations page or call Disney Dining at 407-939-DINE.
Wishing you a magical stay at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and a wonderful dinner at Artist Point! Bon appetit!
