    Can anyone comment on the transportation times from the Port Orleans resort to the 4 theme parks? It looks like PO is further away from the parks than some of the other resorts. Just wondering if it's noticeably longer? Thanks.

    Hi Rhonda,

    I have stayed at Port Orleans numerous times and the travel times between the hotel and parks is on average 15 minutes.  I think its transportation to the parks is not bad especially for a Moderate Resort.

    The travel time between the resorts and the parks depends on the time of year, capacity at the resort and traffic on the roads.  Yes it can take 25 minutes to get to Magic Kingdom during the busy times but it took me that long from the Animal Kingdom Lodge as well.

    If you are concerned about the travel time because you want to return daily to the resort, I recommend staying closer to the park you will be visiting the most.  If this means staying at Deluxe on the monorail because you will be in Magic Kingdom everyday, it may be worth going for a shorter length of stay and avoid the travel time.
