would anyone be able to confirm that Dreams Unliminted Travel is really an official disney vacation planner? They quote the same rate as disneyworld.com and take payment for reservation. Which is better, booking via them or directly with disneyworld.com?

Yes, Dreams Unlimited Travel is an "Authorized Disney Vacation Planner", which means that their travel agents are trained and experienced with booking Disney-related vacations.  There are many other travel agencies that I know of that have this designation, such as Mouse Fan Travel, Magic For Less, Dream Come True Vacations, and many many more.

Since these agencies do not charge you anything extra for their help, and, in my experience, they provide very good and personalized service, I prefer working with these kinds of travel agencies, rather than booking directly with Disney.  I also like the fact that many Authorized Disney Vacation Planner agencies will help you save money if rates change or new offers come out after you book -- whereas if you book directly with Disney, you will have to do this homework and follow-up all on your own.  To select your own travel agency, be sure to ask some questions in advance (will they help you make dining reservations?, will they notify you if better rates come out? how will you be able to communicate with them [email, phone, etc.?]? etc.) to make sure you will be comfortable working with them.

    Hope that helps.
