We are anxiously planning our return trip to Walt Disney World after have a fantastic visit in Feb. 2010. We are chosing between a Sat. to Sat. falling over Thanksgiving or a Sat. to Sat. falling over New Year's. Which week will have lighter crowds?

Hi Jill! The holidays are such a magical time to visit Walt Disney World! Of course, many families are on vacation from work and school on holidays, which means that attendance levels in the Disney parks are generally higher at those times of year. I like to consult the Crowd Calendar on the unofficial website www.TouringPlans.com, which predicts park attendance levels based on historical data, holidays, special events in the parks and other information. That site is predicting the parks to be at maximum attendance levels during the weeks of Christmas and Thanksgiving. Between those two weeks, the week of Thanksgiving would be slightly less crowded than the week of Christmas. The week between Christmas and New Year's is one of the busiest weeks of the year at Walt Disney World and every day has peak attendance levels. The week prior to Thanksgiving will be busy, but the parks won't be at peak attendance levels until the days just before and after Thanksgiving. The weekend prior to Thanksgiving and the beginning of that week will have slightly lower crowds.

Hope this helps! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
