Hi Jennifer!
Thanks for bringing us your question today. Like you, I'm an
Annual Passholder while the rest of my family uses standard theme park tickets. I'm happy to detail the process for utilizing
Lightning Lane Multi Pass on your next family visit.
As you know, this system will replace Disney Genie+ Service on July 24, 2024. I'm really excited to check out the interface when it goes live and hear firsthand experiences from guests using it in those early days. It looks like your next visit is just a few weeks after mine so we'll have plenty of time to get familiar with the booking system before we arrive.
If your family is
staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel or another eligible resort on this upcoming September visit, you'll all enjoy the 7-day advance booking window. This will include purchasing and selecting attraction return times for ticketed days for your length of stay (up to 14 days) even if you are using an Annual Pass. Just be sure the resort reservation is linked to your
My Disney Experience Account and each member of your party is listed on the reservation. Don't forget to
make the necessary theme park reservations for each day of your visit as well.
If you are staying off-site then your experience will be a bit different. Your family members can purchase and book eligible attraction return times for their length of admission beginning 3 days before their ticket start date. As an Annual Passholder, you'll need to book each day of your visit one at a time as you reach that 3-day advance mark.
I realize this may make planning a little tricky depending on the availability of attractions on the second and third day of your family's visit. Guests can modify attraction selections and return times, subject to availability, but I'm curious to see if other modifications will also be possible. We haven't seen this all in practice just yet, but I'm hoping modifications will include adding additional family members to an already reserved experience once that guest becomes eligible. I'll be keeping a close eye on things as more details run out.
Jennifer, I hope this clears up things at least a little. If you have any additional questions I recommend reaching out to a
Cast Member by phone or speaking with a member of the Guest Experience Team upon arrival. They'll be happy to assist with any technical issues while you are enjoying the parks.
Please come back and see us with additional planning questions as you prepare for your visit!
Magic and memories,
Amy
