Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Joseph!
While the Garmin brand is not explicitly listed as one for which your
Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder discount may not apply, the general caveat that discounts are good on “select regularly priced” merchandise may mean that there is a possibility that your discount may not apply to the product you wish to purchase. When my husband and I purchased the
Minnie Mouse Icon Garmin vívofit jr. 2 Activity Tracker at
Disney Springs for our daughter for Christmas last year, I know that our
Annual Passholder merchandise discount did not apply, but the sale price was better than our discount would have been anyway.
I think whether or not the discount will apply will also depend on where you purchase your Garmin product, too. For example,
shopDisney.com has a selection of Garmin products, but your Annual Passholder discount does not apply online. At stores within the Theme Parks (such as
Uptown Jewelers in
Magic Kingdom Park and
Mouse Gear at
Epcot), the standard discount for regularly priced merchandise is currently 20 percent, but at other stores such as
Luxury of Time by Diamonds International at Disney Springs, the discount is only 5 percent.
I would recommend asking the Cast Member or Sales Clerk at your place of purchase whether or not the discount will apply to a particular product when you arrive. As prices, availability and discounts are always subject to change, that will be your best bet. You can also check the
Annual Passholder merchandise discount page on the
Walt Disney World Resort website for the most up-to-date information, too.
In the meantime, please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you, Joseph. We’re always happy to help.
