Hi Candida!
I'm glad to hear that your next Walt Disney World vacation is on the schedule! I haven't yet found the perfect time for our family to visit, so I'm just a little bit jealous!
Currently, in order to use the
Disney Park Pass system, you'll need to have valid admission to the theme parks for the days that you plan to reserve. The system will double-check to be sure that your tickets have not expired, that you have the correct number of days available on your tickets, and that you do not currently hold a reservation for the specific day. Only if these criteria are met will you be able to make a reservation.
Once ticket sales resume, you can choose to renew your Annual Pass, or purchase a different type of admission for your January trip.
While we're waiting for ticket sales to resume, be sure to keep an eye on the
operational updates. These have been adjusted quite frequently as the parks prepare to reopen. Another great spot for the most up-to-date information is the
Disney Parks Blog. They often have the latest announcements. It is perfect for keeping in-the-know.
I hope this helps! Be sure to visit us again soon if we can help plan any additional details for your trip!
