Our Annual Passes are due to expire in December, but we have become Florida residents. Do we need to get our Resident Passes right away, or just the next time we are at the park?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Rob! I see many more visits to the Walt Disney World Resort in your future! Being Mickey’s neighbor is the best!

My family and I have always felt like we’ve enjoyed so many great benefits as Walt Disney World Passholders. Now that you are living in the state of Florida, you will find that you have quite a few options when it comes to annual passes. I also really like the monthly payment plans, because they give my family the flexibility to be able to fit a little magic into our budget. There’s really an annual pass for almost any budget! Once your current annual passes expire, you can absolutely look into the Florida Resident passes you are now eligible to purchase.

Rob, in order to activate your Florida Resident annual passes, you have to visit a ticket window at any of the theme parks or the Guest Services location at Disney Springs. Once you show your Proof of Florida Residency, the Cast Member at the window will give you all of your new credentials and you can enjoy another year of being immersed in the magic!

Again, just make sure to take a look at the different documents you would need as Proof of Florida Residency, before you go ahead and try to activate your Walt Disney World Annual Passes.

I hope this information is helpful to you! Please feel free to come back to see us if you have any more planning questions. Helping you with the details is our pleasure!
