Hi William,
Welcome to planDisney. I'd be happy to assist! I became an
Annual Passholder for the first time in April and I've loved being able to visit the parks every month since. I'm definitely happier when my next trip and my next Disney snack are on the near horizon. Whether you plan to spread your visits out over the course of a year or take one really long action-packed trip, I'm sure you'll enjoy all the magic that being a
Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder adds to your life.
As I mentioned, I purchased my
Disney Sorcerer Pass in April and the initial expiration date listed in the
My Disney Experience App showed as April 2024. As indicated in the
terms and conditions, guests will have one year from the date of purchase to activate their pass. I didn't activate mine until I visited at the end of May, and the expiration date within my app updated accordingly once I scanned my
MagicBand+ on my first official park visit.
Guests may also have the option to
upgrade an existing ticket to an Annual Pass, subject to availability and blockout dates, as long as the ticket still has remaining admission entitlements. If you were to go this route, your Annual Pass expiration would be one year from the first date of your original theme park ticket.
As a Annual Passholder you'll enjoy
discounts on select food and merchandise in addition to complimentary
standard theme park parking. I also decided to add
Disney PhotoPass Downloads to my pass and I've already captured plenty of magical memories with my family and friends in the parks. There's even a
Water Park and Sports Option you can add to your year of magical park visits. You can add these upgrades at any time, but keep in mind they will reflect the same expiration as your Annual Pass.
I hope this was helpful William. If we can answer any additional questions please don't hesitate to let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
