Hey there, Holly! Welcome to planDisney. Your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth is just days away. Hot dog!
Since you are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can book
Lightning Lane passes seven days before your check-in date. Since your
Annual Pass includes the
Park Hopper benefit, you can purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass for a theme park that is different from your reservation. Changing your reservation should not affect your Lightning Lane selections.
As you plan for your Lightning Lane Multi Pass strategy, check out the
list of included attractions. At
Magic Kingdom Park,
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios, the Multi Pass experiences are divided between two groups. You can select one from the first group and two (or all three) from the other group. Once you have used your first Lightning Lane entry, you can make another selection. These choices can be in either group and, with your Park Hopper, any theme park.
While the Lightning Lane passes are not tied to theme park reservations,
Virtual Queues are. If you want to try for
TRON Lightcycle / Run or
Tiana's Bayou Adventure at 7 a.m., you will need a theme park reservation for the Magic Kingdom. If you want to jump through time and space with an awesome soundtrack on
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, you will need a theme park reservation for EPCOT. Each of these attractions has a second Virtual Queue opportunity at 1 p.m. You do not need a park reservation to be eligible for this second chance, but you will need to be in the ride's theme park.
And just to make sure you don't miss out on some of the latest Annual Passholder benefits: Have you read the latest Passholder Buzz? There is a new Passholder magnet featuring Pumbaa and Timon available at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park until September 22.
