Hi I have annual pass with photopass my husband has only the annual pass. Our photos are linked he is going in Sept but I am not until December so my actual ticket won’t be activated. Will we still be able to get his photos under my photopass?

    Hello Leanne!

Welcome back to planDisney. As a fellow Annual Passholder and Disney PhotoPass fan, I'm happy to help. I've also added PhotoPass downloads to my Disney Sorcerer Pass and have loved looking back on all the special moments captured in the parks. I've even downloaded and shared some special photos from members of my Family & Friends list, too!

It sounds like you hope to do the same with photos from your husband's September visit. Though you'll likely be able to view his watermarked photos, you won't be able to download anything captured outside of your Annual Pass activation window. Your PhotoPass download upgrade will be activated on the same date your pass is activated. I purchased my first Annual Pass last April but didn't start the timer on my magical year until I scanned into the parks for the first time a few weeks later. Once my pass was active I was immediately able to download and share photos from that day onward.

If your husband plans to purchase Disney Genie+ Service he'll enjoy complimentary downloads of select attraction photos and videos captured that day. This won't include photos taken with Disney PhotoPass photographers in other areas of the park, but he can consider purchasing Memory Maker One Day if he wants to pose in front of Cinderella Castle or at other iconic photo spots. I've opted for the One Day PhotoPass option on a few past visits and made sure to snap portraits with each photographer I spotted to maximize the day's purchase. I'm also not shy about asking fellow solo travelers or other guests to help me if selfie mode just won't cut it. I find that offering to capture another family's photos first usually ends with them asking to return the favor for me, even before I can ask for their assistance.

I know this is likely not the answer you hoped for, but I'm wishing your husband a fantastic visit this September. If he's anything like me, he's already making plans to enjoy all the offerings at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival during his trip. Once you've activated your pass be sure to get back for some special photos together in the parks. You can even purchase a private Capture Your Moment photo session and download all those priceless pictures using your pass' PhotoPass upgrade.

I hope this helped, Leanne. Please come back and see us again with more questions.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
