If I have an annual pass, do I need to purchase park admission tickets as well? Or is admission Included with the pass?

    Hi there, Justin!

I’m delighted to welcome you to planDisney. Thank you for bringing your question our way!

A few years ago, my family and I decided to purchase Annual Passes. Since then, we’ve enjoyed being part of the Annual Passholder family, where we enjoy discounts on select dining and merchandise and Special Offers on Disney Resort hotel room stays! Best of all, we get to visit the magic year-round, and it doesn’t get better than that! I’m thrilled you’re thinking about becoming an Annual Passholder!

Justin, there are four types of Annual Passes. Three of them are specifically for Florida residents (with the exception of the Disney Sorcerer Pass, which is also available to Disney Vacation Club members), and they do have blockout dates. During the blockout dates, Guests would not be able to enter the parks using their Annual Pass; instead, they would need to purchase theme park tickets to enter.

However, because I see you’re not a Florida resident, the Annual Pass you are eligible for is the Disney Incredi-Pass. This pass does not have block-out dates, so you would not need to purchase further park admission since your Annual Pass would act as your theme park ticket during your visits. It also allows you to visit multiple parks during your day. You will, however, still need to make theme park reservations during your visits, which don’t cost extra but are subject to availability.

Beginning January 9, 2024, if you would like to use the Park Hopper Option as an Annual Passholder, you would need to make a theme park reservation for the first park you plan to visit and enter that first park before you park hop to a different park. Or, you can enter a theme park without a reservation on a “good-to-go day” for that park or after 2:00 PM (except Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays) before visiting another park.

Once my family and I became Annual Passholders, we never looked back. We love returning to Walt Disney World Resort throughout the year, and I have come to especially appreciate last-minute trips that help me fuel up on an extra dose of magic, all thanks to our Annual Passes!

Wishing you many enchanting future visits, Justin!
