Hi. We are annual pass members. When we go to Disney in August, my 25 year old son will have his scanning finger in a cast. Do we need his ID? If so, does he need it each time he enters the park or will system be reset to another finger? Thank you, Vicki

Hey Howdy Hey Vicki and welcome to planDisney!

I am so sorry to hear that your son will be in a cast for your upcoming vacation but happy to hear he will still be able to join you. Thank you for reaching out with your question about fingertip scanning to access the parks during your vacation. I will be happy to give you more information on this one!

Vicki for your son's situation, the process is fairly easy to correct. When visiting the parks with our younger girls at the time, it was hard for them to consistently scan their fingers for park entry. The Cast Members at the front of the park were easily able to change the fingerprint to either my wife or myself and when they got older, they were again easily able to switch it back. The Cast Members at the front of the park should be able to easily get this transferred over to another accessible finger. I would make sure you have his ID just in case they do need to confirm his pass.

Considering you all are Annual Pass members, I am sure you know how exciting each visit to the parks can be. One of the big excitements is knowing the opening of the reimagined attraction, Tiana's Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom, which will be opening this summer. While we still are waiting for specific details from Disney, I hope you will be one of the first to join Tiana on a smooth adventure in the Bayou! Keep up with all the latest announcements from Disney on Disney Parks social media as well as over at Disney Parks Blog

I wish for a vacation full of Magical memories for you and your family on your upcoming trip. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach back out and let us know, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,

    Nick
