I am an annual pass holder and a DVC Member traveling with an adult and child resort guests. Park reservation system will only give me reservations and not them. Why doesn't Disney allow room for Annual pass holders to have others with them?

    Welcome Home, MaryAnn!

It looks like your trip is just around the corner! I’m sorry that you are struggling to secure Park Pass Reservations for the rest of your travel party. Other Guests do change their plans and cancel reservations, so I recommend checking the Theme Park Availability Calendar frequently, especially the night before or morning of, to see if availability has changed. At the moment, I do see some availability for Epcot next week for Resort Hotel Guests.

As a nurse who has worked the last year in a hospital during a pandemic, one of the things I find myself saying often to the other nurses and our patients, is that these are imperfect solutions to a complex and unprecedented situation. I am sure that when planning for the system was done, many different scenarios and ideas were played out, and while I don’t know exactly why it was designed this way, I know that safety was the first priority, and making it as equitable as possible was surely another. I don’t know that I could have designed it any better, for as soon as you allocate a benefit to one group, that usually takes something away from another group. I can tell you I am anxious for the pandemic to improve, and for life to get back to normal as soon as possible!

My best advice is to add the Park Hopper Option to your other two Guests’ tickets. You could reserve Epcot for each member of your group, enjoy your morning to sleep in a little and have a leisurely breakfast, then head to Epcot for a few hours of fun. Check out the amazing topiary displays while you sip and savor your way around World Showcase at the Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival! After 2 PM you can then hop to one of the other theme parks. While hopping isn’t guaranteed, to date, even during the busy spring break season, availability has not been an issue and Guests have been able to hop to their desired theme park. While it may be a different plan than you were envisioning, I think you would still have a magical and enjoyable visit.

I hope you can either secure your desired Park Pass Reservations MaryAnn, or that Park Hopping works for you.

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
