Hi there, Michelle, and welcome to planDisney! As a fellow Floridian and Annual Passholder, I'll be happy to help you today. You'll be arriving for your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation in a few days, so let's pour a tall glass of orange juice and talk about your pass.
Since it hurts my heart to imagine an Annual Pass expiring, I'd rather talk about how you can keep the magic alive by renewing it! I have the Disney Pixie Dust Pass, and my
renewal window opens soon. Last year, I renewed it when my window opened; a couple of weeks later, pass prices increased! So, my first tip is to renew your pass 60 days before it expires to lock in the best price.
To determine your renewal date, open your My Disney Experience mobile app and tap the three lines in the bottom right. On the Welcome screen, tap the "My Tickets & Pass" tile, and then swipe through any admissions you have linked to your account until you see your annual pass. Under the barcode, you should see the expiration date. Count back 60 days to know when you can renew for another year of passholder fun!
You can also renew up to 30 days after that expiration, but no matter when you renew, your pass expiration won't change. You'll continue to use your old pass until the new one kicks in. Last year, I stopped by the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs to show my proof of Florida residence and activate my renewed pass, but I was told that isn't always required. To be safe, I recommend you bring proof in case it's needed.
Have you seen the latest
Annual Passholder magnet design? It features Pumbaa and Timon! You can grab yours at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park through September 22. I may or may not have a bumper full of passholder magnets!
Michelle, I hope your trip is practically perfect. Orange you glad you stopped by
planDisney? Have a fantastic time!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
