    If I get a annual pass would the Disney resorts be cheaper than a summer time room deal ?

    Hi Becki!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    I was inspired to purchase my first Walt Disney World Annual Pass many years ago when I realized the Passholder discount offer at the time for Resort Hotel stays far outweighed the cost of the Annual Pass.

    Currently, there is a Passholder Summer Room Offer with savings of up to 35% on rooms at select Disney Resort Hotels, compared to the general Summer Room Offer with savings up to 25%.  I checked for a few dates in July, and did find the Passholder offer showed lower room rates.  Whether or not purchasing an Annual Pass will save you money will depend on the dates and length of your stay, and the Resort Hotel you choose.  Keep in mind, Special Offers are not available at all Disney Resort Hotels or for all room categories.  I recommend taking a look at all the available Special Offers to see which one might work best for you.

    When crunching the numbers, don't forget about all the other perks and benefits for Annual Passholders, such as dining and merchandise discounts and complimentary Disney PhotoPass downloads.
