Welcome back to planDisney, Brock! What an incredible time to visit the Disneyland Resort. Ringing in the New Year surrounded by fireworks, music, and pure Disney joy is a memory that shines for years to come. My wife and I have celebrated there a few times ourselves, and I can say with confidence: there’s no party quite like a Disney New Year’s Eve celebration!
As of today, official details for this year’s festivities haven’t been announced. However, in previous years, Disneyland Resort has released information about New Year’s Eve plans in early to mid-December. I recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and the official Disneyland social media pages for updates, since those are typically the first places where new details appear. You can also check the
Hours & Events schedule on the Disneyland website. It’s generally updated about six weeks in advance, so that’s another great resource as your visit approaches.
Based on previous years (and from my own experience), both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure have offered special nighttime celebrations, including countdown fireworks to welcome the New Year (weather permitting). There have also been lively dance parties scattered throughout the parks, fun photo opportunities, complimentary party hats, and a wonderfully festive atmosphere that lasts well into the night. It’s truly an unforgettable experience!
During your visit, you’ll also get to enjoy the final days of the
holiday season at the Disneyland Resort. Over at Disneyland, don’t miss the Wintertime Enchantment at Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle, where snow gently falls along Main Street. The nighttime spectacular “Believe… In Holiday Magic” will also light up the skies, while the “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” and Holiday Fun with Santa and Friends! at Fantasyland Theatre bring even more cheer.
Across the Esplanade, Disney California Adventure will still be bursting with holiday energy. Enjoy the playful Holiday Toy Drummers, the upbeat Mickey’s Happy Holidays cavalcade, and on select days, performances like Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season, the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party, or A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel! And of course, be sure to savor a few delicious treats from the Festival of Holidays marketplaces while you’re there.
No matter how you choose to celebrate, Brock, your visit will be filled with magic, music, and memories that sparkle well into 2026. If you have any more questions, please stop by planDisney anytime. We’d love to help you plan your best visit yet.
Happy (early) New Year!
