In 1982 had 2nd anniversary at WDW when MK was only park. Stayed at HOJo's in Disney Village and ate at Disney Country Club. What are these now? Going end of July Want to take wife back at least to the buildings to surprise her. Fond memories

    Eugene,

Boy, you are pulling out the time machine on this one, aren't you?

As a kid, I started coming to Walt Disney World since around the time it opened (1971). I think I even stayed at the Howard Johnson's that you mentioned (oh, salt water taffy!).  The Howard Johnson's is now a Holiday Inn. Here is the address, and you can see photos at the Holiday Inn website.

As to the Disney Country Club, I think you are speaking to what is now Shades of Green. That is a military-exclusive resort that sits nestled in some of Disney's golf courses. But to be sure, I would suggest you write in to the WDW Radio Podcast, hosted by Lou Mongello. Lou really knows his Disney history, and helps share the magic via his great site and podcast.

I also think that you will find his podcast a true treat. I listen to it every week. It is a cherished part of my Disney routine. Just go to www.wdwradio.com and there you can find ways to ask questions and listen to the podcast.

    Have a magical vacation!
