We our anniversary is Nov 2 & wanted dinner reservations at Be Our Guest but failed. Reluctantly we scheduled elsewhere hoping to luck up by continuing to try for our 1st choice. My question is can I make a 2nd reservation THEN cancel the other? TY

Hi Thomas and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m excited to hear that you will be celebrating your wedding anniversary at the happiest place on earth!

When making dining reservations at the Walt Disney World Resort, you will notice that it may be tricky to get the exact times or restaurants you want when you first search for them. My husband and I have done just what you are describing. We’ve made reservations to make sure we have something we like and hope for the reservation we really want! You can make a second reservation and cancel the first. Just cancel with 24 hours of anticipation.

I have found that if I keep checking my first-choice restaurant, in this case Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park, I have scored my desired time or have found other time slots available.

It’s important to remember that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is in full swing during your travel dates. That means Magic Kingdom Park closes earlier for general admission guests.

There are other great activities that you can enjoy on your special day at the Walt Disney World Resort that time of year. There are lots of amazing culinary experiences you can have at the Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival. If you like sweet treats, you can also consider a Dessert Party. They are held at all four theme parks and in several other locations!

Thomas, I hope you’re able to get that reservation! Come back to see us if you need any more help planning your magical trip!
