Welcome to planDisney, James!
Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration has certainly brought a wave of excitement to the resort. Having experienced it myself, I can assure you: the hype is absolutely deserved. I completely understand your wish to be part of the magic!
Here’s some great news: Disney recently shared that many of the 70th Anniversary offerings are expected to continue through summer 2026. That includes the interactive
Key to Disneyland lock stations, which will still be active during the fall season. You’ll also find
Paint the Night and the
Tapestry of Happiness projection show at Disneyland, along with
World of Color Happiness! and 70th-themed touches on Toy Story Midway Mania over at Disney California Adventure. The
themed MagicBand+ interaction points will remain, and you can still enjoy the vibrant décor in the parks and in the Esplanade.
While not everything has been confirmed for December just yet, I recommend following the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates on what’s sticking around for the winter months.
I spent time during the kickoff of the celebration exploring the park with my Key to Disneyland in hand, and I have a few recommendations for your upcoming visit in October! Each land has its own lock station, but Toontown has two, though you’ll only need one to complete the quest. Some stations are tucked away inside buildings or less-traveled corners, so keep your eyes peeled! And don’t forget the final lock station near the park’s entrance gates. That’s where you’ll discover which of the nine special pins (each representing a Disneyland land) you’ve earned. Happy hunting!
While you’re exploring with your Key to Disneyland, be sure to check for MagicBand+ interaction buttons. As part of the anniversary celebration, these spots are themed to Disneyland’s original five lands, and some may even reward you with collectible souvenir tickets. It will add another fun layer to your adventure!
James, the Disneyland Resort is bursting with nostalgia, charm, and celebration during this milestone anniversary. If any more questions pop up as you plan your visit, we’d be happy to help you again here at planDisney.
Wishing you a truly magical visit!
