With the 70th Anniversary coming up soon, I was hoping to plan a trip out to see World of Color-One before it changes to World of Color Happiness. Are there dates yet for when World of Color-One closes?

Hi Eve, and welcome to planDisney! The times, they are a-changin’ for sure, as we approach all the magical celebrations in store for Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary. With so much pixie dust in the air, it’s no wonder you’re eager to make the most of this milestone year. I completely understand the importance of catching your favorite attractions and shows one last time before the big changes arrive.

After checking the Disneyland Daily Events Schedule, I noticed that the final listed date for World of Color – One is Saturday, March 1. As of now, there are no additional performances on the calendar. Of course, schedules at the Disneyland Resort are always subject to change, but this date is currently the last guaranteed chance to experience this stunning nighttime spectacular.

If you’re able to visit on March 1, I’d like to point out that it’s also the opening weekend of the California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. This beloved celebration honors California’s rich culinary traditions, blending storytelling and food in true Disney fashion. The Festival typically features mouthwatering culinary demonstrations, unique character meet-and-greets, and an array of food booths showcasing California-inspired cuisine. My wife and I never miss it, and every year we discover a new favorite dish that leaves us dreaming about it until the next Festival.

While the Food & Wine Festival is a feast for your taste buds, I also have to spotlight my personal highlight: the return of the iconic Soarin’ Over California! As a lifelong Californian, this nostalgic journey through the Golden State holds a special place in my heart. From the scenic vistas to the immersive scents, it’s an experience you don’t want to miss. Plus, it’s home to one of my favorite Hidden Mickeys! Be sure to keep an eye on the golf ball during the Palm Springs scene, but don’t blink; it’s a quick one. If you’re attending the Festival, adding Soarin’ to your itinerary is an absolute must-do.

I hope this information helps, Eve! If you have any additional questions about World of Color or need further assistance planning your visit to the Disneyland Resort, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of the other panelists here at planDisney.

    Have a magical visit!
