Hi again Kathy! Thanks for coming back with your question.
I just spoke with a Cast Member at
V.I.Passholder Support to be certain I had the most up-to-date information to share with you.
All upgrading of tickets must be done in person at
Guest Relations. You may visit any Guest Relations location inside or outside any of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks or at Disney Springs. (Guest Relations locations are also at the Water Parks and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, but in my opinion the other locations will be easier to reach.) The process is actually quite simple; basically you will need to pay the difference in cost between the ticket you have already purchased and the cost of the Annual Pass. You will obtain your Annual Pass card right then and there. You may use any MagicBand you have linked to your profile for admission purposes, but do carry your card and Driver's License or photo ID with you to present for any Annual Pass discounts. Your Passholder MagicBand may be customized in My Disney Experience and will be sent to your home.
I found it very convenient to upgrade my ticket at Guest Services at Disney Springs the night before I planned to enter a Theme Park, as we were dining at Disney Springs anyway. I suggest visiting the closest location to your Resort Hotel or wherever your plans take you upon arrival. You could also allow a few extra minutes on your first Theme Park day to do the upgrade.
If have further
questions about Annual Passes, V.I.Passholder Support can be reached at 407-WDW-PASS or 407-939-7277. You are always welcome to come back to the Moms Panel as well.
