Hi Anna! Thanks for all your planning help! During the holidays, are there any Christmas tree lighting ceremonies at MK or Epcot? And how early should we arrive for the Storyteller events in the countries in Epcot?

Hi, Sabrina!  They have in years past held a tree lighting ceremony at EPCOT, however, I haven't seen any definitive information on whether or not this will take place this year.  The tree at EPCOT has always been stunning, and I think of any of the holiday decorations at Walt Disney World, I have the most pictures of the tree at EPCOT.

The Storytellers appear throughout the day, from shortly after the World Showcase opens.  Each country will have a schedule for when their "Santa" appears to tell their story.  If you want to try to hit all of them, I'd begin as early in the day as you can.  After you listen to the story and then wait in line for photos, it can eat up a pretty good chunk of the day.  Some of the performers - like La Befana in Italy - occasionally enlist the aid of a child in the audience, and I have seen some that have even taken a question or two.

    Have a wonderful holiday vacation!
