Hi Anna S. I read that there is a cheer/dance competition at Disney the week we are there (Dec 9-16). Any ideas on tickets/ability to be a spectator...my girls would love it. How will this effect crowds/lines? Thanks again.

Hi, Sherry!  The competition this year will take place at ESPN Wide World of Sports from December 7 through the 14th.  You are able to go to the sports complex to enjoy the competitions, although I don't have an exact schedule of times for the events just yet.

Daily admission last year for the event was $16 for adults and $11 for children.  They also offer a Length of Event pass, which will allow you to enter for any or all of the days of the competition.  They were $48 for adults and $33 for children.

The competition will take place at the HP Field House.  You'll find places to grab a bite to eat and plenty of restrooms, so it really can be a fun day!

You won't notice too much impact to lines during the event.  They really do keep the kids busy with competitions, and many of them stay to watch the other groups.  You'll see groups of cheerleaders throughout the parks, but I've never noticed a huge impact from the group of cheer families.

    Have a great time!
