Hi Anna Love your advice on the pannel! Planning a return trip. Do you know of any plans for the 40th year2011 of the MK? It seems all the fantasy land renovations won't be done till 2012. Should we travel next year or wait till 2012? Thanks EMILY

Hi, Emily!  Thanks so much for coming to us with your questions!

This is a really tough answer to give.  Walt Disney World generally doesn't reveal any information about a theme for the upcoming year's celebration until pretty close to the end of the year, so we don't have any information yet regarding what may be to come in 2011.  If you are planning to travel only once between either 2011 or 2012, I think I'd be tempted to book something for 2011, and see if the theme for next year holds any interest for you.  When you see what's in store for the next year, you might better be able to decide if you are more excited for the renovations projected to be completed in 2012, or enticed by the theme for 2011.  You can always cancel and re-book.

Another option - and the one I'd probably try to convince my husband I needed to do - might be to make plans to do your big trip in 2012, but if the theme for 2011 draws you in, maybe do a quick weekend in 2011.  If you plan both trips within a 12 month time period, you can purchase an annual pass and maybe save a little bit of money on tickets, and perhaps qualify for a discounted room with your annual pass (a limited number of room discounts are occasionally released to annual passholders).

I hope you get to enjoy a fabulous vacation, whenever you go!
