Hi Anna how are you? I'm trying to plan my kids second trip to Disney world they will be 7&8 when we go back I was wondering if you thought August maybe a bad time to take to them due to the heat? Also when are the 2014 packages going to be announced?

Hi, Margaret, and thank you so much for your question!

I am not a hot weather kind of girl, and when I go in August, my plan of attack is to hit the theme parks as soon as they open (extra magic hours if I am staying on property), get as much done as I can in the morning, then after a nice lunch in an air conditioned location, I head out to either hit the pool, relax in my room, or do some shopping.  You can expect temperatures in August to be in the mid to upper 90s, so it is definitely hot.  I will say, though, the end of August is a great time to go to avoid some crowds.  Many southern schools are back in session, and the crowds really thin out.

Packages are usually released about mid-year the year before you want to go.  So for 2014, you can expect package prices to begin showing up around July.  They are sometimes a bit later, but historically speaking, this is a good time frame.

I hope you have a great time planning your upcoming vacation, and if you need any additional help, you can find me right here!
