Hi, Kristen!  I have a family that loves dining its way around Walt Disney World, so we've eaten in some awesome restaurants.  I'll warn you, though - we don't always prefer the meat and potatoes variety of restaurants, and even when my husband and I visit without children, there are some dining experiences we really enjoy.

Here are my family's favorite places:

    Table Service

Boma - Animal Kingdom Lodge - A delicious buffet with an African flair
Jiko - Animal Kingdom Lodge - My favorite dinner is the filet with mac and cheese - delish!
Restaurant Marrakesh - EPCOT - The Royal Feast is a true taste of Morocco
50's Prime Time Cafe - Disney's Hollywood Studios - Even without kids, we love this place!
'Ohana - Polynesian Resort - a long time family favorite
Raglan Road - Downtown Disney - Go later in the evening, you might catch some live entertainment!
Rose and Crown - EPCOT - Great beer selection; pretty authentic pub fare

    Counter Service

Earl of Sandwich - Downtown Disney - amazing sandwiches at a really affordable price
Flame Tree Barbecue - Animal Kingdom - good food and you can find a nice, shady table
Yakitori House - EPCOT - a great Japanese lunch and healthier alternative to burgers and fries
Casey's - Magic Kingdom - you can't go to Walt Disney World and not get a hot dog at Casey's!

I also want to recommend the Picnic in the Park lunch at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  The minimum number of people you can order for is three, but if you plan to skip breakfast and order this as your big meal of the day, it's a great way to relax and enjoy some shade, a good meal, in a beautiful park.
