Hi Anna! Congrats on earning your grandma ears ! What gift !!! I’m so glad you are on the panel I look for you every time I have a question you give me the BEST advice . Could you explain how MK after hours works and if I need to be on Disney property.

Hiya, Margaret! Thank you so much for coming back with your question - and on the congratulations on my Grandmom ears. It's seriously the best gig ever.

We just got to enjoy our very first Disney After Hours a few weeks ago, and in a word - amazing! This is a special ticketed event, with a limited number of tickets sold, that gives you a chance to visit some of the most popular Magic Kingdom attractions with a much shorter wait time than you are likely to encounter during a day visit to the theme park.

How it works is you purchase the special Disney After Hours ticket, and then you head to the Magic Kingdom to get a lanyard to enjoy the festivities. Entry time may vary by the start time of the event, which does change based on date. There are about a dozen open attractions, and complimentary snacks and bottled beverages.

My family was able to do all of our favorite attractions, like Splash Mountain and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train multiple times, and it was awesome to just walk right on to some of the attractions that have long waits during the day. And you can get some really terrific pictures - especially towards the end of the event - because the crowds are much lighter than you'll experience during the day.

I hope you get to go and have the best time!
