We will be in Animal Kingdom on 11/4. We've been to several safari attractions & sometimes you get great timing and the animals are very active, other times all you see is sleeping animals. Any opinions on when the animals seem to be most active? Thank

    Wendy,

The weather is key here.  Animals are more active when it's cooler, so early morning and late evening are your best bets.  However, since the Animal Kingdom is not generally open that late, you're usually restricted to morning rides if you want to catch the animals in action.

Temperatures in November will be cooler overall, so you'll have a much better chance of catching them up and moving mid-day than you would traveling in the summer.

Of course no matter what it's hard to predict their activity level - they definitely exercise their right to hide sometimes!  If that happens to you then try riding again later that day.  They say no two rides are ever the same and it's really true.  My oldest daughter is crazy about giraffes and on one visit she didn't see any.  We decided to ride again and maybe she'd get a glimpse, so immediately after getting off we boarded again.  And what do you know, there were giraffes crossing right in front of us just a few minutes later!  Persistence does pay off.  :)
