We have an animal kingdom reservation 1/22, will we be able to park at Magic Kingdom without paying for parking that morning before checking into the hotel?

    Welcome to planDisney, Alex!

We're so glad to see you here today. Your visit is just about a week away and I know you must be counting down with eager anticipation. I'm also visiting around the same time and can't wait to get started on the fun! I'm heading straight for EPCOT International Festival of the Arts when I arrive.

You'll be glad to know that standard theme park parking is complimentary for registered Disney Resorts Collection hotel guests. You can certainly park at Magic Kingdom Park's Transportation and Ticket Center on your check-in day before officially arriving at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge (an excellent choice in accommodations, by the way). Cast Members may ask to scan your MagicBand+ or confirm your resort reservation in your My Disney Experience Mobile App when you arrive, so just be sure to have that information available as you drive up.

You'll also enjoy complimentary standard theme park parking on your check-out day. My family has been known to check out, stash our bags in our trunk and hit the parks for a few more hours of magic before driving home. I recommend using the Car Locator feature built into the app to remind you where you parked. Nothing is less magical than wandering the parking lot in search of your vehicle at the end of a long park day.

I hope this helped, Alex. Please come back and see us again with any other planning questions. We're always happy to help. I'm wishing you a wonderful visit!

    Adventure is out there,
