Will be at Animal Kingdom Nov 25 and have dinner rev for Bomas at 4:30. What time should we leave the park? Which would be easier and quicker our car or the bus? Was hoping to catch the 3:45 parade is that possible? This is our first visit to the world!

    Tashana,

Your first Disney vacation - how exciting!  You are visiting at a really great time of year to see all of the holiday decorations.  Unfortunately, it can also be a really tricky time of year because of the increased holiday traffic.  I think this will definitely affect your plans for the day before Thanksgiving.

I do not believe that it is possible for you to see the Jingle Jungle parade and still make your dinner reservation at Boma.  It really pains me to say this because I adore that parade, but I think this is an 'either-or' situation and you'll need to choose between the parade and the dinner.  Have you tried calling Disney Dining to see if you can get a later seating?  It's a long shot at this point but certainly worth looking into.

As for transportation, I always prefer to take my own car.  Call it my inner control freak coming out, but I don't like to wait on buses and have my schedule in someone else's hands.  That said, the Animal Kingdom Lodge is very close to the park and bus service between the two is usually quite efficient.  But of course your car is very efficient as well!  Either way, I'd plan on leaving the park around 3:45 to go to the restaurant.  As close as they are to one another, you need a little cushion of time to walk out of the park and then back into the hotel, plus time for waiting on a bus.  It's also recommended that you check in at the podium about 15 minutes before your seating time, so you can be seated as soon as possible.

    Have a fantastic vacation!
