We have an animal kingdom lodge reservation from October 6th. How do I prove this to make meal reservations? My husband made the booking. Can it somehow be connected to this Disney account that I have created? I’m really struggling with the complexity!

Jambo, Joanne! Thanks for bringing this great question to planDisney!

There's nothing quite like a stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge! I had the joy of calling this resort "home" during a trip with some of my panelist friends and it was the perfect backdrop for a magical vacation. You're going to love the adventurous dining and watching the wild animals roaming the lush savanna! Be sure to stop by The Mara and pick up a pack of Zebra Domes – trust me on this.

Joanne, it sounds like you've already booked your reservation for Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Since your husband made this reservation, it's likely already linked to his My Disney Experience account. He can check this by logging into his account online, hovering his mouse over the My Disney Experience tab, and clicking My Plans. Have him scroll down until he can see his reservation, as well as the Guests linked to that reservation (you!). If for any reason he doesn't see his reservation here, he can link his confirmation number to his account.

If your husband is able to see that his reservation has been connected, then it's time for him to share these plans with you and your My Disney Experience account. Thankfully, this is as easy as bibbidi-bobbidi-boo! All he needs to do is hover his mouse over the My Disney Experience tab, then click My Family & Friends. Once he locates your name on this list, see if the words "Plans managed by me" are listed here. If so, click "Update," then "Share Planning with..." Ask your husband to enter the email address associated with your My Disney Experience account. Once you accept the invitation on your end, you should be linked and ready to manage and co-plan with him!

Of course, if you run into any problems with the above steps, you can always call a friendly Cast Member. They'll be happy to take a peek at your reservation and make sure that everything's good to go before you arrive! And Joanne, please write back with any other questions you may have. I know that some steps of the planning process may feel tricky the first time around, but that's what we're here for – and we just so happen to LOVE to plan! Don't hesitate to reach out. After all, you've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon!
