I love the cozy, secluded feel of staying at
Animal Kingdom Lodge. It really does feel like a world away from the bustle of the theme parks. Plus, there's fabulous dining and you get views of the animals of the savanna. However, the secluded nature can make connection times to the rest of Walt Disney World a little longer.
So let's address your specific question. Yes, technically, you could take a bus from Animal Kingdom Lodge to Magic Kingdom and then transfer to a bus for the
Caribbean Beach Resort. But that is not the most direct route and likely would take a considerable amount of time.
I'd suggest two other more efficient options.
The fastest way likely would be to take the bus from Animal Kingdom Lodge to Disney's Hollywood Studios, then hop on the
Skyliner to Caribbean Beach. The Hollywood Studios bus depot is right by the Skyliner station, and, because the Skyliner loads continuously, the line to board moves quickly. Caribbean Beach is just one Skyliner stop and a few minutes away.
If you'd rather make the entire journey by bus, then I would take the short ride to Animal Kingdom (less than 10 minutes once you are onboard) and transfer there to a bus for Caribbean Beach. You could, of course, also make the bus transfer at Hollywood Studios instead of choosing the Skyliner.
Pro tip: You can use the "Get Directions" feature in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App to help you find the best routes between resorts, theme parks or even attractions. The feature shows you directions for walking, driving or using Disney transportation, whether it is buses, boats, monorail or Skyliner.
Just click the location icon at the bottom of the home screen to get started. I also find that my phone's navigation app usually works well in assessing which Disney transportation route is the fastest.
