    Animal kingdom is closing on December 10 at 6pm . Will these hours be extended or should we plan to attend another park that day.

    Hi there Don!  Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    I just took a look at the park hours calendar, and I do see that currently Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is scheduled to close at 6:00 pm on December 10 and 11, and 8:00 pm the rest of the week.  It is always a possibility that park hours might be extended.  This has happened to me several times.  Sometimes the calendar is tweaked a bit a couple of weeks in advance, and other times operating hours are extended just a day or two ahead of time.  I would keep checking to see if the park hours have been adjusted.

    Even if the operating hours for Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park remain the same for that day, I wouldn't necessarily change your plans.  Most Guests do tend to gravitate to the theme parks with longer hours, so if you head to Disney's Animal Kingdom that day, you just might find crowds are a bit lighter than normal.  You know, the old "zig" when everyone else "zags".

    This would also be a great opportunity to add the Park Hopper Option to your ticket.  You would be able to enjoy whichever theme park you wish for most of the day, and when it closes, head to a different park that is open later for a few more hours of fun.  You may upgrade your tickets at any theme park ticket window, Guest Relations location, Lobby Concierge at your Disney Resort hotel, or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs.
