Claire,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
The Disney resort hotels, including
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, do not charge a standard daily resort fee. Naturally when you plan out your vacation budget you will want to account for taxes that will be charged on the room rate, but otherwise you should be good to go!
BONUS TIP #1The Disney resorts do charge a
daily parking fee, if you have a car on property. The rate can vary based on resort, so you can check the website before a visit to get the current rate.
BONUS TIP #2Sanaa, located in the Kidani Village section of the Animal Kingdom Lodge, is in my top 10 places to eat in all of Walt Disney World. The naan bread sampler alone is worth the visit.
BONUS TIP #3Jiko - The Cooking Place, located in the Jambo House section of the Animal Kingdom Lodge, is one of the best fine dining restaurants at Walt Disney World. If you are an oenophile (yes, I had to look it up), they have what was once reported to be the single largest South African wine list outside of South Africa, and offer almost all of them by the glass.
Please feel free to
send me any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!
Doug
