Hi Angie! My husband isn't really excited about the expense of Disney but I am wanting to plan a trip for next summer for our 8 year old with dogs. I am looking for the best possible savings to talk him into the trip of a lifetime! Any suggestions?

    Hi Shannon!

Welcome to planDisney, where we love helping Guests like you make their Disney vacation dreams come true. I can fully relate to your experience, as my husband put up a lot of resistance when we planned our family’s first-ever visit to Walt Disney World. Let’s see if we can get your husband fully on board with a Disney vacation by finding some great ways to save and taking advantage of special offers.

Start by exploring the current Special Offers available for Walt Disney World. Some of the current special offers include savings on Disney Resort hotels, 50 percent off select kids’ theme park tickets this summer, and Free Dining Plans for kids in 2026. I don’t know your state of residence, but if you happen to be a resident of Florida, there are several special offers specifically for Florida residents. These special offers change, so check back periodically to see when new offers become available.

Since you will be bringing along your furry friends, check out pet-friendly vacation rentals in the area surrounding Walt Disney World. Some of the pet-friendly accommodations will offer many of the comforts of home, so you can enjoy a few meals from the comfort of your rental, thus saving you money on dining out. You also have the option of booking one of the Dog-Friendly Disney Resort Hotels: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.

I like to either book a last-minute Disney vacation to take advantage of special offers or plan far in advance, giving myself time to pay for a magical Disney vacation package. If you choose the second option, you can reserve an incredible Disney vacation package with just a deposit and then make payments on the balance over time while your vacation dates approach. Several friends of mine will purchase Disney Gift Cards whenever they see them on sale with special offers. They’ll ask for Disney Gift Cards for birthdays and holidays, slowly compiling a significant collection. They then use the gift cards to book Disney vacation packages or to pay for meals while on vacation. Think of it as creating your own little Disney savings stash!

I hope this information helps you begin to plan an unforgettable visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Shannon! If I can assist you further, or if you have any more questions, please return here to planDisney. We are here for you and happy to help!

    Wishing You So Much Magic!
