Hiya, Margaret! Thanks so much for coming to
planDisney with your question.
Scoring the
dining experiences you want at
Walt Disney World can be pretty high on the list when it comes to planning our Disney World vacations. I do have some tips and tricks for you, especially now that you are within your 60-day window to make your
dining reservations. The first thing is not to give up. Guest plans can change at the last minute for a lot of reasons, so try all the way up to the last minute in case there's a cancellation. I also recommend being flexible with your time. If you can do an early lunch or a later dinner, you may find more availability at some of the most popular restaurants. You even have the phenomenal cosmic power to do a search on your
My Disney Experience app for dining availability NOW! If you hit the Now button when it asks your time preference, it will show you a list of restaurants with walk-up availability near you.
Another tip is to split up a larger party. If you are trying to make a dining reservation for a large party, you may find limited availability. It's sometimes easier to seat two tables of four than it is to seat a single table of eight, and you can always ask when you check in for tables to be near each other. They'll do their best to accommodate that.
Lastly, Margaret, if you can't get into the regular restaurant, check out the lounges. Many serve some of the same food as the restaurants you may want to enjoy.
Happy planning, Margaret!
