In the Amy Disney Experience app, is there a slider countdown that you can download that shows you how many days left til your vacation? Where is this feature and does it appear on your phone or only within the app itself? We haven’t officially booked yet.

Hey, Courtney! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for stopping by to chat with us. During my previous vacations, there was a countdown in the desktop version of My Disney Experience that helped us see how close we were to our magical vacation. My girls loved to check this, especially when it got down to the single digits! I am looking through My Disney Experience desktop and app versions, and I am sorry to say that it looks like that countdown is not showing up anymore on My Plans. No worries because I have some ideas to share with you about other ways to count down once you get your Walt Disney World Resort vacation booked.

A few years ago, the Disney Parks Blog shared a #DaysTillDisney create-your-own Disney vacation countdown with really cute numbers themed to Resort icons. The Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar number one is simply adorable! You can click each number set to open, save, and print on sturdy cardstock. Then, have fun swapping the numbers out each day.

Something I actually just did was to check my phone's app store for "Disney Countdown" apps. There are lots of options, including some that allow you to use your favorite Disney vacation pictures as the background. Some of them do require payment, but there are many free ones that look practically perfect.

If you have small children at home, they would probably love making a countdown chain. Simply glue strips of construction paper to form a link chain and then remove a link each day. It is a great visual and tactile activity to help kids see how close they are to visiting Mickey and Minnie Mouse!

Thanks again for stopping by, Courtney. Please let us know if we can answer more questions for you as you continue to plan your vacation!
