Can we use the amount of an upcoming ticket toward the purchase of a magic key like you used to be able to with the annual pass program?

    Hiya, Kristin,

We're so glad to meet you here at planDisney! According to the Magic Key Buying Guide, I'm happy to share that yes, you can use the amount of an eligible upcoming ticket towards the purchase of a new Magic Key pass for the Disneyland Resort.

Once the passes go on sale, the clock strikes no sooner than 9 am PST today (January 10, 2024), it is easy to upgrade from the Disneyland App. Be sure you are logged in and you're selecting to upgrade a wholly unused ticket. Again if you have any questions about what types of tickets are available, please scroll to the "When and Where to Upgrade Your Ticket" section on this page.

As a heads up, passes do tend to go quicker than you can say Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo, so I recommend logging in to your app soon to hopefully capture the magic before it's too late.

Sending lots of pixie dust your way and hope that you can upgrade to a year of magic!

    Magic happens!
