Hello, for Amorette’s Patisserie cake decorating class, the age minimum shows 10 years old. We have a mature minded 8 year old who bakes on her own. Would love to book this experience for her and grandma to do together.... how “firm” is the age range?

Hi Kathy!  Amorette's Patisserie is a très chic French pastry shop that opened in Disney Springs in 2016.  Every time I walk by their storefront, I wonder, "How do they make those cakes?!"  I guess I'm not the only one who thought that because they now offer 90-minute classes that teach the techniques used to decorate Amorette’s signature Mickey Dome Cake. Now you can literally have your cake and eat it too!

I think it's fantastic that your daughter loves to bake, and what a great experience it would be for her to do this with her grandma!  Your question made me curious, so I logged onto the Walt Disney World website, and I was able to make an online reservation for myself and my ten-year-old son this summer. I also spoke to a Cast Member at Enchanting Extras, and she said that they while Disney does not verify the ages of the guests taking the class (they operate on the "Honor System,") they are firm on the age policy.  I'd suggest giving them a call at (407) 939-7529 if you have questions.

I'm sure you're getting excited about your trip this summer- 2019 should be a magical yEAR!  Remember, planning is the recipe for success when it comes to Walt Disney World, so we are here if you need any more advice!
