Welcome to planDisney, Tyler! Thank you for sending us an intriguing question. I'll see if I can conjure up an answer for you...Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!
Harry Houdini was a frequent performer on the Coney Island Boardwalk, so it seems only fitting that
Disney's BoardWalk has magicians entertaining guests with their parlor tricks and illusions. When I spoke with the front desk at the BoardWalk Inn today, I was informed that the entertainers are hired through a third-party company, so they don't have a list of names or a schedule of performers. Good magicians are highly "sawed" after (pun intended), and I remember watching one a couple of years ago who left a lasting impression on me; his name is Kardenni, and he can be found on Instagram. I'm not sure if this is who you interacted with during your trip, but he is very talented and can be found at Walt Disney World Resort from time to time. I'll be visiting the BoardWalk next month, so feel free to
write back, and I'll be happy to provide you with an updated report!
Tyler, the next time you're there, stop by the magician-themed cocktail lounge,
AbracadaBar! According to legend, it is formerly the stomping grounds for famous magicians, local illusionists, and the loveliest of magicians' assistants. My favorite concoction is Pepper's Ghost, named after the illusion trick in the Haunted Mansion. Tada!
