Hi Molly!
I have a
Disney Visa Card and have absolutely loved being able to use my Disney Rewards Dollars to purchase merchandise during my trips to the
Walt Disney World Resort! Your sister IS amazing for giving you all of her Disney Rewards Dollars! You should definitely pick her up a little something special as a thank you!
I completely understand being nervous about sending a large amount of Disney Rewards Dollars on a Redemption Card through the mail, but luckily, if the card does get lost in the mail on the way to you, your sister can call Chase immediately at 1-800-300-8575 to report that the card has been lost. If this happens, the remaining Disney Rewards Dollars that were on that Redemption Card can be transferred to another Redemption Card! Although any Disney Rewards Dollars that are used before the card has been reported as lost can't be recovered, unlike a traditional gift card, any unused Disney Rewards Dollars can be recovered and used on another Redemption Card!
Another option for you is to have your sister send the Disney Rewards Dollars Redemption Card in the mail with the minimum allowed amount on it, then once it arrives, she can call or go online to transfer the remaining Disney Rewards Dollars to the Redemption Card! That way, even if the Redemption Card is lost or stolen before you receive it, there would not be as much on it to lose!
Although it is possible for cardholders to pick up a Disney Rewards Dollars Redemption Card at various locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, unfortunately, you would need to be an authorized user on the account to be able to do so.
Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
