Hi Julie! If you look at the
mouth-watering photos of items from Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie on the Disney Parks Blog, you'd likely think the bakery in Epcot is worth the walk from the Beach Club. Even though the Epcot World Showcase doesn't open until 11 a.m., Les Halles opens at 9 a.m. The bakery features pastries, croissants, coffees, tarts and sandwiches -- check out
Les Halles menu on the Disney website. (You can also find detailed menus for Les Halles on unofficial sites like allears.net and disneyfoodblog.com.)
When my family stayed at the Beach Club earlier this summer, I thought it would be nice to stroll over to Epcot to have breakfast at Les Halles, but we never did. Since the bakery doesn't open until 9 a.m. and we like to hit the parks at rope drop to avoid standing in long lines, it was never really convenient for us to have breakfast at Les Halles. Also, while Epcot is a short walk away from the Beach Club, there are several other spots in and around the resort to have breakfast that are closer and open earlier. The
Boardwalk Bakery is a quick stroll away from the Beach Club and features some of the same types of baked goods as Les Halles.
If you'd like to try breakfast at Les Halles, I'd recommend you plan to stop by the French bakery on the day you're visiting Epcot, rather than making a special trip just for breakfast. Alternatively, you could pick up some croissants and pastries on your way out of the park the night before so you can eat them in your room the next morning.
