Hi Amanda, I wanted to take a “foldable, black stainless-steel shopping utility cart” from Amazon. The dimensions are: 40.2 x 23.3 x 21.1 inches I want it to carry merchandise and hold drinks I buy at the park.

    Hiya Melissa!

Welcome to planDisney! I always try to travel light in the parks, but I also know what it's like to find the perfect souvenir...or two...or three...that you want to bring home. Let's talk shopping strategies, shall we?

Unfortunately, the Disneyland Resort Rules prohibit carts and trailer-like objects that are pushed or pulled, aside from strollers that fit in the size restrictions, so you won't be able to bring your utility cart. I'm sorry! But I do have several ways to lighten your load during your visit.

I love renting a locker when I know I'll be spending a long day in the park. There are a variety of sizes, and you have unlimited access to your locker for the day so you can swap out items or add more as you need to! It's a great way to store sweatshirts, blankets, and any purchases you make in the parks.

You can also request that your in-park purchases be held for you to pick up later in the day. There are a few locations that can hold items in each park, or you can check your items at the stroller rental shop in the Esplanade between the parks. Currently, items can be checked at the following shops in the parks:

    • Pioneer Mercantile (Disneyland Park)
    • Port Royal (Disneyland Park)
    • The Star Trader (Disneyland Park)
    • Elias & Co. (Disney California Adventure Park)
    • Sarge's Surplus Hut (Disney California Adventure Park)
    • Avengers Vault (Disney California Adventure Park)
I know this probably isn't the answer you were looking for, I'm sorry about that. I certainly miss the days of my kids riding in a stroller where I could store some extra items. I have to say though, I do not miss parking that stroller...or trying to find it again after I parked it!

Thanks again for sending me your question, Melissa. I hope these ideas help you enjoy a great day in the parks with some pixie-dusted shopping!

    Keep moving forward!

    Amanda
