Hello, Teresa!
Welcome aboard planDisney, it's nice to meet you! It sounds like your cruise is going to set sail very soon, so I want to jump right in with all the information you need.
Unless you've booked a Restricted Guaranteed Stateroom (which comes with a different set of terms and conditions) you still have a little time left to make a name change for your cruise. I recommend
calling Disney Cruise Line right away because the current policy requires that all guests be finalized 3 days prior to embarkation. Because it's so close to your cruise there will also be a fee of $50 per guest (subject to change) to switch the names in that stateroom.
It's important to know that if all guest names on a reservation are changing then that is considered a cancellation and you would have to rebook at the current fare. I'm hoping that you have both staterooms on one reservation so that your name doesn't change and you're ok to update the others!
That being said...do your son and his wife know what they would be missing out on if they don't go with you? I've taken several Disney Cruise voyages with just my husband and we always have a fantastic time. We love to explore the ships, have
brunch at Palo Steakhouse, catch some sun, and enjoy the amazing shows! It's really one of the most relaxing vacations ever and there are so many
areas and activities just for adults. I love that I can go from relaxing with a book by a quiet pool to enjoying a Broadway-worthy show all in one day! Whether you're looking for pixie dust and Disney pals or a peaceful escape at sea, you can find it on your cruise.
Don't wait too long to decide who your lucky cruising friends will be, Teresa! You don't want to miss the tide, after all. Whoever joins you, I hope you will have a fabulous time!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
