Hi Amanda! Thanks so much for the advice on the GF rooms! I heard there's a torch lighting ceremony at Poly.Is it by the marina or main bldg?bAnd is it worth the time? We have Chef Mickey ADR at 4:25 - would we be able to get to Poly in time?

Hi Sabrina! Stopping by the Polynesian to see the Torch Lighting Ceremony after dinner sounds like a fun plan! The Torch Lighting occurs Tuesday through Saturday at 6 p.m. just outside the Grand Ceremonial House (the main building) at the Polynesian.

Your dinner at Chef Mickey's will take about an hour. If you're planning to hop on the monorail after dinner to head back to the Grand Floridian or to the Magic Kingdom, you'll be passing by the Polynesian at just the right time to catch the Torch Lighting Ceremony.  The Ceremony lasts about five minutes, during which time one cast member plays the drums while another lights the torches and then tosses and spins the flaming baton and even eats fire. I definitely think this free sneak peak of the luau show is worth a quick stop!

It's good to hear from you again, Sabrina! If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask!
